Ok, I resonate with Jen Sincero. She is, and has been, a lot of things, her career is wildly varied and spotted with experiences that seem unrelated and somehow make sense when you listen to her talk. If you know me at all, the list of randomness that constitutes my complete resume may seem completely unrelated but every experience, somehow, weirdly, makes me who I am and informs my perspective on life. So when she talks about all her random adventures and pursuits it feels a little like home to me.
Her current life focus is working as a life and business coach. She’s big on supporting people and sharing the things she’s learned. This book is all about learning to get out of your own way and allow the abundance to flow freely. Weirdly, what is often keeping the door shut on opportunity is the fact that we are leaning against it to keep it closed while shouting to the universe “why don’t you ever open doors of opportunity for me?!” She’s got some great tools for helping us work through our stories and early programming about money, success and abundance all told in her hysterical tone and curse riddled way of relating. She’s funny, smart and most of all, she’s probably been where you are right now and can help you figure out how to get out of it. Reading this book has helped me examine some of my foundational thinking and basic assumptions about success, not just money but how I look at the world, what I believe I can achieve and most of all, what achieving this things means for how I live my life.
