Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Raw Honey
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Egg, well beaten
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Drops Cardamom Essential Oil
- 2 Drops Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
- 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
- 2 Cups Flour, sifted
- Frosting:
- 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1/2 Teaspoons Raw Honey
Instructions
- Whip cold butter in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk egg, essential oils, vanilla extract, & honey together then slowly add to whipped butter with mixer on lowest speed.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, & salt. Add to butter mixture slowly, alternating with buttermilk.
- Blend everything together thoroughly then pour into a 9×13 baking pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
- For frosting: melt butter on low, remove from heat & mix in milk, honey, & vanilla extract
- Put powdered sugar in a bowl & mix gently while slowly pouring in the butter mix,, it should be runny but not thin, frost cake with it once it is completely cooled.
