Ingredients
- 3 Drops Rose Essential Oil
- 2 Drops Rose Water
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa
- Candied Rose Petal Garnish:
- Handful Organic Rose Petals
- 1 Tablespoon Meringue Powder
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- For the candied rose petals: remove the bottom tip of the rose petals, and discard, they’re bitter.
- Mix the meringue powder with a little water to make a runny paste, paint the petals with a clean paint brush. lay them out on wax paper and sprinkle in sugar. Let dry, store any extra in a jar layered with more sugar. You can use the extra sugar to sweeten tea and other things later.
- For cocoa mix: place sugar in a bowl drop in the essential oils, mix to ensure the oils are distributed evenly.
- Place the cocoa and dark chocolate chips in a bowl and mix.
- Layer cocoa, then sugar in 4 ounce jars, placing candied rose petals in each jar. Each jar is 2 servings when mixed with hot milk of your choice.
